Fitness Tan is excited to welcome WBFF Pro Jess Crofts to our Athlete Team! Jess is an incredibly dedicated human being who is excited to show the world what she is capable of, we cannot wait to watch her walk out on the WBFF Worlds Stage in Vegas.
What / who inspired you to become a part of the Fitness Industry?
My mother and I decided that we needed to change our unhealthy lifestyles, so we worked hard together to lost weight and make our lives healthier ones, we haven’t looked back. My mum is always supporting my fitness ambitions.
Why did you select the WBFF to compete in? Do you compete/ have you competed in any other federations?
Yes I have competed in INBA as my first comp and then IFBB as my second. I decided to compete in WBFF as I had heard positive things about the organisation and had not felt like I had found my specific organisation. After competing with WBFF I know that this organisation is the one I am meant to be apart of.
If you had to sum up your personal fitness philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?
Always strive to be better than you were yesterday, be positive and stick to goals because you never know what you’re capable of.
When you won your WBFF pro card, what went through your head?
It honestly didn’t sink in for a few days, but after that I was intent to take it further, I always feel a sense of aspiration to be better than what I am. I was so excited when I won my pro card, and I want to do so much with it.
Can you tell us a little bit about your job as a journalist?
I love being a journalist and informing the world on the latest news. I hope to someday work for a fitness or health magazine, to put my personal training skills and journalism skills together would be a dream come true.
What do you hope to achieve as a fitness athlete in the coming year?
To compete at worlds on stage with other pros will make me feel accomplished and allow me to say that I did the best that I could do. I hope to bring my best package to the WBFF stage at worlds and collaborate with other pros.
Who do you look up to as your own “fitspiration”?
Zoe Daly because she is the nicest human being I know. She always pushes through with her prep even if she has setbacks, and perseverance is what the industry is about.
If you could give one piece of advice to young women interested in getting into the world of fitness modelling, what would it be?
Never doubt yourself or listen to what others say about your aspirations. If you aspire to compete, follow through until the end even if it gets hard because the results are quite rewarding.
